A large mysterious region located on the far side of the galactic disk, the Unknown Regions have never been mapped, and it is rumored that a plethora of yet undiscovered species and civilizations exist beyond its borders. These may just be tall tales, however: navigation of the Unknown Regions is extremely difficult, and nearly all attempts to survey it have resulted in disaster. Travel is not advised.
