North Expanse

A thin yet astronomically dense region of space found just beyond the Inner Rim, the North Expanse is comprised of Imperial controlled worlds notable for their rich natural resources, which for generations have been stripped and shipped to the Mid Rim for processing. In the last few years industry has slowed as the defense sector has taken over. Key planets located at hyperlane chokepoints are already slated to be transformed into Imperial fortress worlds, a defensive measure to keep the League of Free Planets out in the event of war - and to keep any fleeing Imperial subjects in.
