Biography: Born on the slum moon Nar Shaddaa, Kaaza had really only two options with her life. Keep her head down and stay out of trouble, or work for the Hutts. The Hutts had a hand in controlling anyone in their territory who had even a small amount of renown.
Growing up, Kaaza was always fixated on the screens in her parents' restaurant showing pod races. From a young age, she knew that was her dream. As a teen, she started scraping together money any way she could. Between doing odd jobs for favors and a few small-scale black market flips, she pieced together the closest thing to a pod racer she could out of scrap. It could never compete, but it allowed her to go fast in the more abandoned sectors of the city.
Of course, acting like a stupid teen caught up to her. After crashing her homemade racer into a residential building, endangering its inhabitants, she earned herself an in-person meeting with a Hutt. The result of this discussion, however, was surprising. She was given a state of the art pod racer, and a huge debt to be paid off by working for the Hutts, smuggling goods to other planets under the guise of a professional racer.
Though not a household name, Kaaza is known galaxy-wide as a solid racer, but not spectacular. She's even better known in smuggling circles as having a routine schedule for shipments to other planets. She runs a lucrative business that she herself doesn't see much money from.
Personality: Her public persona, known to fans of pod racing, is kind, friendly, but with a strong push to constantly better herself and win races "honestly." She stays out of in-race conflict, opting to preserve her safety rather than endanger her life battling for the lead.
Behind the scenes, however, she is a no-nonsense businesswoman who despises having her time wasted. Her desire for "safety" on the track is a preservation mechanism to prevent her debt from being passed on to her family in the event of her death.
Her goal is simple - survive long enough to see the end of her debt to the Hutts and get a pod racer of her own.
Important Assets: state of the art pod racer (a few years old, though owned by the Hutts) as well as an ongoing "sponsorship" from the Hutt Cartel
